Hello guys,
I have a question regarding fitting RCBO'S. WHEN fitting these to a non RCD board, would I need to upgrade the tails and earthing arrangement to current BS7671 standards?? I. E upgrade tails to 25mm², Earth 16mm², main bonding 10mm².
I'm not installing one yet but may need to used it for a job in the future. I was hoping for some advice. Greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

what he said ^^^^^. obviously check earthing and bonding is there.

i had a weigh-in a couple of weeks ago. i got £4.20 for bright copper. i had 30 kilos and got just over £119. cheeky sod knocked off £8.40 for a couple of plastic buckets that weighed less than 2lb for the pair of them.

by the way, £4.20 was the best price out of half-a-dozen calls that i made. everywhere else was about £3.60. what are you lot getting these days?? i'm sure it was higher a couple of years back.

I take it you are looking at the pictures and info in the OSG

You don't say what size tails earth & bond are in place along with the size of the main bullet at present!

When going down the RCBO route IMO I would be sniffing around and testing the circuit making sure it will hold and all the readings are good before you start getting calls about tripping once its been installed!
