called out to customer reporting rcd keeps tripping when they switch the landing light on.checked switches and ceiling rose,all in tact wiring ok ,replaced lamp etc. The light is two way and i have checked both switches,both ok. The cu is split load dual rcd and its tripping both rcds,any ideas please. thanks.
 
Deffo the curse of the borrowed neutral then.

Was a common wiring method back in the day.....our scourge in this day 'n' age.!!!:)

Looks like he has put the supply for the lights (live) into one side of the board (RCD1) and the neutral into the N block for (RCD2)??
 
yeah, that'll do it. RCDs work on imbalance between the L and N, so by sending them to opposite sides of the board youll get a trip. Put the N back on the correct busbar and all should be well.
