It is the rated current-carrying capacity of a cable as per the regs, so 2.5 t&e refrence method c is 27 amps (table 4d2a)

Iz is the current-carrying capacity of the cable after other factors have been taken into account such as grouping, ambient temperature, thermal insuation and protective device.
