remote control remote activation?

Is there a gadget that will sit remote from my tv, and control the tv, AV reciever, sky etc, I want to site them in a cupboard behind the lounge.

Most RF senders have that built in. Alternative is to use something like this: Remote Control IR Repeater : Remote Controls Accessories : Maplin It's a bit pricey IMHO though.

why would you want your TV in a cupboard? is it so the kids can watch cartoon network when you send them to the naughty cupboard?

Maybe it's so the misses can't see it to complain when he keeps channel hopping
