Hello

Im an apprentice spark and have been asked by aunty to help her out by removing a socket in one of her rooms.

I havent seen it yet but im expecting to find its part of her downstairs ring circuit, what i am thinking is to remove the socket and pattress join the wiring together to complete the ring using crimps with my ratchet crimper and then filling the hole in its RCD protected although i expect it will be over 50mm deep anyway.

Does this sound ok?

Thanks Ricky

Crimped joints, I thought these were okay, just jb that needed access for inspection testing and maintenance purposes.
Ho No I'll have to go back over all those jobs I crimped in the past, (Bugger it)

Agree with Wirepuller. Crimping is fine, but don't plaster over the joins as they could be exposed to moisture. If your aunty doesn't want a blanking plate then pull the cables back under the floorboard and use a jb.
