Hi all, I want to replace all the night storage heaters in my flat to something more economical and something that can be controlled whenever it is needed not just at night, does anybody have any suggestions? They need to be as economical as possible to keep running costs down. Have considered an air source heat pump but not really what I'm looking for as I want direct replacements...
Cheers in advance!

You will have more than likely off peak outlets for your storage heaters that heat the bricks up overnight on the cheap rate, these are usually the most economical where you have no alternative options like combi gas boiler and rad's..

It depends on what your options are, how you use your heating and what size area your heating... you can get better controlled storage heaters that adjust themselves and monitor ambient temperature so no need to remember to switch them off or on... any more info you can provide would let us expand on our advice.

How old are your current storage heaters? What type of property so you have? How much insulation have you got? Do you have double glazing?
