replacing a cooker switch socket

Hi, I don't use my cooker point I have a gas cooker, can I replace this cooer swich-sock with a double 13a socket my system is RCD controlled Ciruits your help is appreciated.

Yes you can replace the coker with a sock plate which brand will you be useing pringle socks are ok ,it will slip over nicely, there might be a sock plate behind the gas cooker you could fit a sock their has well .

Could safely disconnect the outgoing 6mm to the low level connection plate if not needed.

Not sure they need to have 2, but with Click Mode it's pretty straight forward.

Can you lads help me out, I have two red wires, two black wires, and three green earth wires, I know red is live black is neutral, do I put the both reds in the live, and the two black together in neutral, thats how It was when came out, one earth in one end and two earth wires together in the other end I just want make sure.

If one is the outgoing to the cooker outlet plate then you don't need to.

The cable at the top is probably the live feed in. So you don't need to use the bottom one.

BUT

You need to test it first to make sure.

The lower cable probably, and I say probably goes to the cooker outlet plate which is not required. Connect the upper cable but make the other safe before reconnecting the power.

OP is there anything still connected from the low level cooker outlet plate.

all my lights have gone off, I was arranging the when the light went off In have power on sockets but no lights.

RCD has tripped, probably when neutral/earth were shorted together when you were arranging the wires.

The rcd by the cooker breaker needs turning back on I suspect the black touched earth not an uncommon occurrence.
