Replacing a Legrand grid switch

I have a bank of DP Legrand grid switches and one has become faulty. Is it easy to replace? Thanks.

Diy or electrician easy ?

For a sparks it’s about a half hour job to replace a grid module

Notoriously difficult to change even for an electrician. Tight cables, not enough space in the box.
Not something for average Joe to attempt, i'm afraid

Add to that, very much depends on how it was put in.

Some are a doddle as the original Spark planned and executed the job well.

Some are an absolute pig as above.

I can’t remember if Legrand are like this or not, but with one manufacture you can ease out the grid just a bit.... access all 4 terminals from above and the switch itself is secured from the front.

I think Crabtree has the fixing screw from behind, so you have to pull everything out the box to reach it.
Add to that worktop below and wall unit above. You have to be a cortortionist to see what you’re doing.

The dreaded moment when you take the grid off and cables start falling out of terminals ahhh!

Ahh yes , this is what people don't appreciate when it comes to 'small jobs'

they can escalate quickly and a 25min task can end up taking an hour.

I frequently find this like no earth continuity or cables cut so short they all need extending via wagos.
especially on cooker switches and shower pull cords can be a right pain
