Hi,

In a property that is being renovated there is a Potterton Profile 100e boiler controlled by a Potterton EP2002 Controller wired to an ancient Satchwell room Thermostat.

Is it possible to replace this controller / room stat combination with a modern RF room thermostat linked to an RF receiver e.g. a Salus system?

I assume that there is a wiring centre in the Airing cupboard which then links to the actual boiler control block. I don't have any wiring diagrams other than for the actual boiler so I don't know how to wire this.

Many Thanks in advance for any advice.

Hi, thanks for confirming that this is possible. On modern boilers like the Worcester Bosch Greenstar 30SI, it is very easy to fit one of these RF receivers but I am not sure how to do this with the existing wiring centre in the Potterton.

Many thanks

All an RF stat is , is a stat. Take perm L N E to the RF receiver from the wiring centre and a switched live back to the wiring centre ( where the SW/L from the old stat comes in) from the receiver. Put batteries in the RF stat, and bobs your uncle
