After Sintra helping me out yesterday i've stumbled across another problem.

I've attached the problem if anyone can help or guide me in the right direction i'll know how to work these out in the future.

Thanks in advance folks.

To start with resolve the 3 parallel resistors into one single equivalent resistance. You then effectively have 2 resistors in series so add them up to give total circuit resistance. Use Ohms law to work out the circuit current. After that see if you can figure out any more for yourself.

As Marvo says have a stab at it yourself and post your answers and workings then we will take a look.

Apply Mr Kirchoffs and Mr Ohms laws and you will soon have it cracked!

If stuck, as suggested in above posts, put up your workings and someone will guide you through it .....

Go to the website "eHow" this is covered and explained in depth and very well. I send my apprentices to this site for all sorts of stuff.

Cheers..............Howard
