Good evening,

I had not really good day today. Got £100 rgb fancy inteligent strip for customer under kitchen cabinets. Managed to cut it at recommended intervals and join with short cbale all worked OK. I had to join it with 3m 4 core wire and the last bit was not working properly compared to first 2 strips. When I joined the last strip without that 3m cable it worked ok. The problem is I need the cable as there is gap between cabinets. Any suggestion? I have tried different strip and cabke nothing helped.

My guess is the 3mtrs is messing with the comms down the strip.
Try the 3mtrs near the start of the cable and see if it kills everthing after.
Maybe 2 separate cables only using 1 pair in each?
If not then possibly individually screened pairs cable.

Agree with additional driver.
3m may be too far for a single driver to manage.
What is the rating of the driver and the tape? (Usually a wattage per metre, multiply by the length of tape you have)
Also how did you attach the extension to the tape? You might have a short across the lines.
