Discuss Ring r1 issue. in the UK Electrical Forum area at ElectriciansForums.net

Yes, he's dealing with it. I wouldn't worry if I was you. He's got a electrician going out tomorrow. I advised him further investigation without delay,

Been resolved. The house owner asked me to check it today. The spark that resolved the issue didn't leave a phone number,. When I went back to check, there seemed to be a spur to a double socket which was rewired. Think this was the issue.

I was Simpley suggesting that the professional that repaired the fault would have documented what was done in some way.

just because the “leccy “ is working now, is not a guarantee that all is well.

Where do you keep finding these electricians?

Someone must have a number for him - how did they get him out?

Does the tenant now have a satisfactory EICR?

Not being funny, but, think your in the wrong job mate. You might have a policeman skills.

He just bought the house. He went to the lawyer and told him that there was a fault on the ring.

The guy sent email with no number, come on you know what sparks are like, if he pits his number on it, he'll worry the phone ringing.

Incase your still overthink it's went from spark to lawyer, to house owner, to me.

Have a good day.

So did the electrician supply a MWC or an EICR?

Or are you completing the EICR?

From reading this thread and your earlier ones, I really can't work out what your situation is as regards work you are carrying out.
That's because your looking to much into it mate. I've got the 2391-52 the guy asked me to check the property. Think you've got me under the spotlight mate.

As long it's a properly tested spotlight eh ?

A totally meaningless qualification if you haven't got the underpinning knowledge and skills. I would expect someone with a 2391 to have reasonable fault finding skills in order to be able to properly inspect and test an installation
