Premature death I believe, the corpse is still alive, with exams scheduled for 9/8/12, 18/10/12 and 6/12/12

As I understand it, anyone who's actively enrolled / done practical can still sit the paper part until something like June 2015.

But I think it will become a new benchmark - sparkies before the death of it and after.

So what happens to all us who have the 2391
I a few years time you'll have to sit the new qualification.

Why? Because NICEIC, JIB etc will be staffed by people who have never heard of 2391 and will therefore rate you as a second class citizen/improver/labourer/sweeperupper.

I hope your right biff55 I think it's very unfair to us lads who studied hard and past this exam 2391 is the bench mark for testing and inspecting and should remain so there's no need for watered down testing quals you've either got it or you havnt simple

I think C&G should be ashamed they have made it easier by splitting it up so personnel who havent a clue can study a section then pass a course then study another and pass, pass it all at once numpties!!!!
If you have the knowledge and understanding of how things should be done proffesionally then the reward is you pass if dont you fail ...simple.
I walked out of the theory test knowing i had passed most of the guys on the course were not so confident and i imagine a few of them probably failed badly.
The practile side was a joke i had to show the guy who was testing me how to use the damn equipment, what is that all about !!!!!!

Surely electricians with the 2391 should be given these 2394 or 2395 qualifications after all we have past the so called difficult one in 2391
