I hope this is an appropriate forum to ask my question.

I have an upflush toilet. The pump sometimes does not shut off automatically. I'm hoping to find a solution that will disconnect power if it draws power for more than 5 seconds and resets after a few minutes. Adjustable times would be a plus. It is not on a dedicated circuit. It's simply plugged into a 110 outlet.

TIA

I would repair the unit rather than work around the fault with an external timer. If it is the usual problem with the membrane on the switch becoming stiff and not responding to the changing water level, it is quick and easy to solve. You can buy a service kit consisting of a membrane and a microswitch for most models.

Thanks for the reply. It's the sensor prongs inside. They get covered in crap (literally). I have to open it up and clean the terminals every view months. It may be time to bust up the floor to install a grinder/sump.
