Hi guys just a quick one is it safe to use the extension platform of a scissor lift when it's fully extended approx 10 meters its a standard size scissor lift the one they have at the ipaf courses cheers

10metres? that's longer than a railway platform.

We were using a spider recently.
It would only extend out so far at such a height.
Then we swopped over and I got in.
As I'm a bit lighter than the other chap, it would extend just a bit further.
Quite surprising how much a difference of 20 or so kilos can make.

Being on the more portly side now i don't smoke , when i go in our tracked cherry picker and boom out at hight it does one and stops dead , i quite often have to reach out and grab something nearby to trick it in to letting me even boom back in .
It has even been known to do the same if i just boom it out while not even raised , i then either have to climb out or get someone to push up on the basket .
It only does it to me , much to our staff's amusement !:blush2:
