SDS Drill (again)

I've posted a similar question before but lack of funds prevented me buying.

After searching round I think I've narrowed it down to one of the following two drills. I have no experience with either make, I've always stuck with dewalt.

Can anybody recommend one over the other?

I have the 36v Bosch but out of those two I would go for the panasonic as a few of the lads on here rave about them

Does it have to be lith ion? I have never owned a cordless sds but am looking for one as you are and the 2 drills you posted there are the exact ones I was looking into as well,except they are the Ni-mh batteries - this panasonic is a fair bit cheaper than the lithion, if you dont really need to go lithion

not experienced these models, but i have a hitachi 24v that is 12 years old and still going strong. had a race with a 110v stand-up hilti ( like a road drill) drilling 12mm throgh 11" reinforced concrete and the hitachi won!

Ni-Mh batteries are awful!! my makita ones died in no time! if you can afford them go for Li-ion all day long!

Really, when I read about drills I get the impression that the Ni-mh is a step up from the Nicad anda step down from the lithion

My dewalt 18v isn't 18 months old and 2 out of the 3 battery's are goosed. 1 won't charge, the other will but lasts about 5 minutes.

Sanzo most of the sds are ni-mh unless they are lith so take my advice and buy a rig with lithium batteries. I really did learn this the hard way with my 24v makita. £350 brand new, 2 years old with 2 wrote off batteries I dumped it on eBay and got £100

I now have the Bosch 36v li-on and am glad the 24v makita is gone, good tool, crap batteries !!

Yes they are. The drill hasn't even been used that heavily in the time I've had it.

Bosch 36V without a doubt the best of the bunch money well worth spending, for battery performance the panasonic is a good choice too

Well I wasn't going to mention it . Besides the Bosch is on equal terms with the Hilti I would be happy with both

LOL yes I Know I'm a tool tart wouldn't have it any other way.I get so much stick from the guys onsite but you know it's funny how many times I get asked do you have that drill, chasing tool or core drill etc. I've now started to run quite a lucrative tool hire service onsite
