Hi there!!

My SDS drill is on the way out. Thought it was time to upgrade to something a little better. Mainly use it for fixing holes and anything bigger I would just crack out the tried and trusted 110V.
I liked the look of the Panasonic SDS-Plus Rotary Hammer Drill Driver 14.4v IP EY7840LZ2S31.

Has anyone used it? Any info would be good as its a fairly new product.
Thanks

I used to have one and it was amazing. Honestly, one of the best pieces of kit I have ever owned. I sold it because I am a Bosch man and when they released their 18v cordless SDS (which my old lithium batteries fit) I had to keep loyal.

In all fairness, the Panasonic was just as good and I got a great deal from Anglia for £279 with 3 x 3.0AH batteries (The bosch was £399 with 2)

I think now they are around £290 with 2 x 3.3AH batteries which should last forever and as most people are aware, Panasonic make the best batteries.

I am also looking for a small, light SDS drill.
Would this type of drill be happy doing 6mm holes in concrete?
For bigger stuff I have a 36V, but really want something small for when I am doing conduit fixings etc.
Cheers

Great bit of kit have used a mates on many an occasion very well weighted, batteries as said before are brilliant will drill 6mm fixings into concrete all day long. plus you can use it one handed up a ladder quite comfortably.
