HI Guys,

Just wandering if anyone else has had any problems with a Lumineux 30W LED Die Cast Aluminium IP44 Flood Light complete with PIR Black.

It is installed direct from the garage lighting mains feed to a local Switch for isolation inside the garage. This is a Brand New Light. Worked great during the day when installing activating as it should when approached. Made the Adjustments to the length of time to be on and adjusted the LUX level to night time and now it just stays on all the time. I have removed the power to try reset the PIR memory several times now and still the same. The lumination for the Light is great and just what the customer wants but has me stumped to why this would do this.

Tried looking to see if there was any other ways to do a reset of the Light that anyone has come across before getting another one and installing. this is the first in many that has done this so could just be a unlucky and a faulty PIR.

Great if anyone has any other idea's.

Or if this is a Common fault with these what other LED Security lights would you recommend using?

Thanks again

Neil

i would think it was faulty. take it down, bench test it with a plug on it. if it stays on then, return it and replace.

It is possible that the relay that switches in the PIR is stuck on, if the light is always on and never goes out, occasionally the switching creates a spark that just welds the contacts, a gentle sharp tap on the PIR may resolve this.
If the light is off at some times when the power to the light is connected then I would expect that Tel is correct.

Just a though , has it an override facility that is being accidentally activated ? Maybe by something in the garage.

Hi Guys Thanks for that. I am going down the route of faulty. This Light never goes out. Is staying on all the time. until i switch off at the switch. can't see anything in the garage that could be activating as switch is out of the way at height. Thanks have ordered a new light and will fault find on original at a later date.
