Hi there, just wasted last ten years since leaving school in dead end driving jobs, finally found what i want to do now though.Started the 2330 in sept just looking to get in the trade ,start from the bottom ,graft, get qualified and mainly experience.Any advice be really appreciated cheers Karl

Hi Karl,

Wish you all the best for the future mate. I'd go on yell.com get a list of electricians/contractors in your area and either/or phone/e-mail them asking for vacancies as labourer/mate whatever and tell them that your starting your 2330 etc. Send your CV out too and DON'T LOSE HEART!!!

We've heard some stories on here of ppl sending out 200 mails/calls and not getting any response! Keep trying mate.

Personally I'd e-mail a CV with a covering letter about yourself, plans, etc AND phone them too. If their are any electricians in your locality, go and see them. SELL yourself.
First impressions count and how you come across in person could make all the difference.
I know a lot of this may sound common sense but sometimes, sense isn't always that common.

Hope this helps some.

Welcome to the site.

C
