Discuss SELV LED mirror in the UK Electrical Forum area at ElectriciansForums.net

For fixed appliances in a bathroom the isolators are normally fitted outside the bathroom, obviously inside the bathroom is not an option.

Now you just have to consider whether the mirror you have is a light fitting or a fixed appliance to establish whether it would require a local isolator.

Normally I would take a lighting feed to it without an isolator, the same as you would for any light fitting which requires a permanent live.

As far as I know an airing cupboard is not acceptable for isolators for bathroom equipment.
Local isolators need to be easily identifiable, near to the equipment etc.
If you were to fix a visible label to the equipment detailing the location of the isolator this may be ok but would you wan that in your bathroom?
