Service fuse question

At A EICR today and the three fuses are AEI series 3-100, I can guess at what the numbers mean but who were AEI

Common maker or cut-outs, USUALLY contain a bs88 fuse, however LIM will suffice for I&T peurposes

AEI were in it's day, probably one of the biggest electrical manufacturers in the UK. Mainly on the cable side of things, but covered a wide spectrum of products!! Probably got bought out and split up by the new parent company, like so many of the old well known names in British industry...

When I go back to the job I will take a pic of the head as I have a few questions on it, it looks PME,d but readings suggest otherwise and the property is just a few hundred metres from the main tranmission hub, voltage at 254 at the intake but maybe thats to be expected

AEI were taken over by GEC, who un turn were taken over by Alstom.

Another bit of history gone...Site was just up the road from me,main building was beautiful,all stock brick,corbelled facades,insets,everything,would be impossible to replicate now.Levelled it for a bloody gym pump factory...:rant:
