Hi,
I have roof to quote, a large church with a huge south facing roof at 40degrees.
Problem is that there is a big tree just in front of the roof in the garden of the church which enjoys a tree preservation order. The tree casts a huge shadow over the roof pretty much all the time.
The roof is large enough for around 25kWp of conventional 250w panels
What I'm thing is....would a 10kWp thin film array be an option. I understand that thin film is much less affected by shadows and takes about twice the roof area. Ideal 10kWp less than 16amps per phase, higher FIT rate, happy days???
Problem is who sells thin film panels, how much are they and would it work?
Help!
