Happy new year everyone!
During one my my inspections in an existing warehouse, I saw their electrician has pulled a wire from the incomer side of an existing panel ( panel A, 3 pole isolator as an incomer), to feed another e phase panel(panel B). The upstream breaker is an MCCB ( in panel C) with sufficient rating for the total load on both panels.(pls see the attached image)
(on the upstream panel, there is proper marking that it is feeding 2 panels, the cable size is sufficient for total load,..etc)
what can go wrong?! I know it is not correct, but what are the risks in terms of safety?

Separation of circuits requirement? Bit inconvenient where you needed to isolate only one DB from source. I would rather (personally) have taken the extra supply from a 3pole MCB in the board for isolation purposes. Granted it may not have had room.

However that will probably create a discrimination issue.
Each board can still be isolated via its main switch.
Two DBs fed from the same submain is no different to one DB twice the size fed from the submain.

True. Isolation of each DB from source was what I was thinking as well.
