shaver socket 260V?

Why this shaver socket gives me 260V on the 230V's side?? I checked for voltage about 20 of them today and all gave me 260V.
Tester: Fluke 1653.

If your getting 260v on the incomming side doesn't that mean the dwelling supply is 260v??

If not, does anyone on here know if you can get back feed from a Shave socket? I thought back emf would reduce supply current.

230V on incoming side, 260V after the transformer. didn't check the 115V side of the socket.

Just a thought it may require load before you get the volt drop needed you are testing a transformer unloaded at the minute.

good thinking, it might be it, but then the voltage regulation of socket's transformer would be 13% according to this calculations:

[ (260 - 230) / 230 ] * 100% = 13%

13% seems to be a bit big, doesn't it

I will load it tomorrow and check again.
