I took a really nasty belt right across the top of my shoulder into the neck and cheek one time for just this reason - some toe rag had left an energised bare end cable touching an air duct vent (the giant aluminium tumble dryer stuff) and as I moved a tile and popped my head up it rolled into me. Has to be the most painful belt I've ever had and my neck was bruised stiff for days. Not happy!Just doing some commercial work today. Suspended ceiling. Replacing old fluors. Cat II with LED panels. Spaghetti nightmare up there. Bare cable ends that are live. Sockets/spurs ripped off walls thrown in the ceiling covers off, live. Bare cables taped over many times. Absolutely appalling job. Poorly labelled circuits, no previous certs for new DB on each floor. Presumably fairly recent as they are all RCBO circuits. But really poor wiring above the ceiling.
