Hi, can you recommend some short time insurance for a van?
Got my mate helping on the jobs, will be nice if he can drive
my van, for some emergency materials etc...

I had to get a weeks insurance to pick up my new van and drop off my old one, they wouldnt do a single day, was about £70!!!

You can add a temporary additional driver to your policy.
Alternatively if he's got comprehensive insurance and is over 25 he's probably got 3rd party cover on other vehicles.

The simple answer is check with your insurance company.

If you do have more than one, then only one would pay out in the event of a claim though probably both would lose their no claims bonus.
