NICEIC Certification Scheme Should this pass NICEIC Test

Hi all,

I had an electrical test carried out on a property before moving in - it passed. since moving in I've had some challenges with the electrics. One highlight being the upstairs lights are wired into the sockets. It's been suggested to me this shouldn't have been a pass based on this? Can anyone confirm?

Post a copy of the report or certificate, with the names & addresses redacted (yours and the contractor).

Lighting on a socket circuit isn't ideal but may still be compliant if it's fused down somewhere.

We would need more information, Regulations do not suggest lighting and power are derived from separate circuits and depending on the protective device then the lighting aspect may not even require reduced circuit protection.
