If it only stopped working after the new consumer unit was fitted then........It must be related to the consumer unit. God, I'm getting good at this!!! I'm thinking about taking it up for a living maybe...
 
How do you know it’s NOT the shower or isolating switch at fault?
Coincidences do happen.

Saying that, it does sound like a problem with the new consumer unit.
Did you receive a test certificate with the work?
