I need some help please my daughters shower when swithed on the water is only warm not hot adjusting themostat makes no difference does this mean its the heating element or should I be looking at something else?

Might just be that the incoming water is so cold it isn't heating the water enough, quite normal at this time of year, especially on older showers, what size is the shower?

As above but as you have not said make and model off shower so need more info, is it one off those electronic type or just a bog stanard shower?

If it is the bog standard type it could be one off the elements has gone as when you put it on the low setting you normally have the 2 elements in series, on the medium setting one element on and on the high setting both elements are on.

Is that in parallel Ian?

if its only warm, you will find that either one set of heaters isnt working, most showers have 2. cause will be either the element is broken, or one of the internal micro switches is burnt out, if the element is gone, you will be best to get a new shower, if the micro switch is gone, you can get them from the manufacturer, but unless you know what you are doing, they can be fiddly to fit
