Hi, I currently work for an NIC registered company, but I am getting asked more and more if I can sign off my own work. So I was wondering what is the cheapest way of doing this. At the moment I dont want to go out on my own, but on the other hand I dont want to miss out on/ turn down work. I am not too fussed about representation from a body like elecsa or NIC, I just purely want to certificate my own work Thanks in advance.

Thats one of the reasons for joining up, so you are able to certify work.

Thanks for the reply, I understand your point, but you can also become part P qualified and sign your work off. I know this route doesnt offer as much as signing up with someone like NIC, but if it works out a lot cheaper this way then that suits me fine as I cant really justify spending the registration fees with the big companies.:)
