hi

i'm putting in some exterior lights for the shed.

ive drilled a hole through the wall, put conduit through the hole to protect the cables and put a junction box over the holes. inside the house is mini trunking and single core cables. outside is swa.

can i just take the singles through the wall inside the conduit to the outside?

it seems silly to joint the singles to a piece of flex just to go through the conduit / brickwork to then connect to the swa.

many thanks if you can help

When you say junction box do you mean adaptable box?.....how are you terminating the sea and reconnecting to the singles?

Yes no problem and it’s actually preferable to Just pop the singles through the conduit than having an unnecessary joint In the cable...

Hi, thanks for the advice everyone.

the cables come down the trunking into a white box then out the back of that box Into the hole, Through the conduit into the back of another box outside. The swa is terminated to the outside box. Cables are connected via wagos in the outside box.

I don’t have the regs to see what they are at the moment. ive got some nyyj, I could rip the outer insulation off that and put the cables through that for more protection I guess
