I have a customer that wants commercial style skirting trunking to be installed as they do not want cables wired through the floor and sockets placed in the trunking about 1oomm of the floor.

1.the socket is too low
2.Has anyone installed the above if so what type.
3.I will also run Cat5.audio.bt.sat.
4.Also the drops down into one room will be flush trunking about 50mm deep.

any thoughts.

If it's not a new build, they can have the sockets any height I guess, so long as it's no worse than before (interpretation of the regs). I'm guessing this client has ambitions to run other bits and pieces at a later date. Apart from it being bloody ugly, I can't see a problem with it as it still needs a tool to get at the wiring.

socket height in existing dwelling can be any height ,
dado trunking segregated

if thats what they want thats what they get , easy shift for you

Yeah if that is what they wish, just never put this style in a house yes in an office, have you ever done this before as i would like some options on style as the customer has no idea which is a bit of a worry.let alone the lighting etc.I guess this is nightmare we have every know and then.If the customer does not know what they want but would like the job completed soon asap.

I converted a house into offices 6 rooms just split the ring in each room and installed dado

Your first post never mentioned lighting is this part of job
