thoughts on this job .........

Got a job , its a very small cupboard under stairs , that is getting converted into the worlds smallest toilet , problem is that the fuse board(none RCD), main fuse and meter is all about 1 ft above were the new sink is going  , the board is going to be boxed in .. the job don't involve moving the board but has me concerned , all the builder wants is a light , which will be no more than 4 ft from the sink , and an extractor fan , again 2- 3 ft max from the sink ..

what are you lads thoughts on the board , will put the fan and light on RDC protected spur .

Cheers

How are they going to fix the basin to the wall below the CU without drilling through a cable?

How far away from the door is the CU? You could always run a supply from the CU to a switch outside installed in steel conduit and then switch-wire and neutral back into the cupboard. Connect that into an LV transformer for a low-voltage light, and into a transformer with timer for a low-voltage fan.

May this not be classified as a special location thus LABC need to be notified?

They will take one look and say no way Jose can you have that.

i wouldnt go near it!

all you need is a little kid with wet hands picking about and your dun for!

and this might sound like an overkill but what if something needs isolating in an emergency and someone is taking a dump with the door locked???!!
