Discuss Smart light switch in the DIY Electrical Advice area at ElectriciansForums.net

Hi. Thanks, I agree. It is quite untidy and knew there were to many in there. Will try it tomorrow and will let you know. Thanks for the advice, you are all so helpful on here.
Hi
Yes it worked thank you. I have also put a 2 gang in and its red when power on and blue when power off, which I guess is the opposite way round. Any advice for this please,?

The two browns in the two L1 terminals both go into L of the smart switch. The two blacks are your outgoing lines.

The two browns which were in the old L1 terminals both go to L of the smart switch. The black and brown from the old L2 terminals into L1 and L2 of the new switch, so brown to L1 and black to L2. Assuming this new switch is the same as the other one you fitted.

Doesn't matter the black and brown in the old L2 terminals go to the lights so L1, L2 or L3. Can you show the terminals of the new switch.

Separate like at the old switch the only two you keep together were the two in the old L1s which had the link across them.

So the original L1 browns both into L. The single brown and single black, one into L1 the other in L3 it doesn't matter which way around.
