Going to take a look at some ones smoke alarms later, all the info I have is that they keep going off, the woman said she has changed all the batts in them and they still go off and dont stop until she has pressed a button on them. They are all mains operated and its in a new build (about 2 years old). At first I thought the mains to them has gone but its not an intermitate beep, it is a continues alarm. I dont know if she has a carbon monitor as well or anything but does anyone know what it could be or what I should look out for?

Thanks!!!

Have they had any building work done recently.?

Dust/debris from Building work/landscaping (If windows left ajar) can contaminate alarm, especially
photo (optical) ones.;)
These need vacuuming around outside on a regular basis with flexible vacuum cleaner hose, or aerosol
as used to clean PC keyboards.

Have they fitted replacement batteries right way around/are they showing good voltage output;
take a spare with you.

Check soundness of all connections.

Cheers, don't think they had changed all the batteries as they said they had.
Not had them ring me back so must all be ok.
Cheers.
