unconventional but can't see any reg. being broke.

If it is a ring final circuit it requires suitable circuit protection to BS1363.

560.10 states 5839(-6) should be complied with;

15.4.a.i. states an independent circuit is permitted.

15.4.a.ii states a local lighting circuit is permissible

The above described Installation is neither, therefore does not meet 5839-6 and as such 560.10 is not complied with.

HOWEVER the installer can list it as a deviation from standard and it would them comply with 560.10 however the liability is on the installer should something go wrong or the system not function.

It is not my area, so I looked up the instructions for the Aico Ei140RC out of curiosity and was a little surprised to see no mention of maximum OCPD limits!

I would have though something like a 10A MCB (typical maximum for lights) would be specified, but nope....

BS5839:1 or 6 is generally not concerned with circuit protection just compliance with BS7671 is maintained however it does suggest circuit configuration.
