A circuit wired in 6.0/2.5 with a 32amp MCB feeding a double socket for a gas hob and gas oven.

Now I know that the protective device is for the cable, but I am concerned that the socket can only take 13+7. Should I down rate the protective device for the socket and not the cable in this situation.

Regards

I was more concerned that the socket could easily be overload and the protective device will not stop the socket from being damaged. I know that the protective device is for the cable, just interested if others would try and protect the socket and the cable in this situation.

How do sockets on a ring final with a 32A MCB survive then ?

I knew there wasn't anything strictly wrong with it, but I dared to ask as I was interested in the consensus, but it was dumb when you look at the bigger picture lol.

None really, more a case of people using the socket at a later date to feed an electric hob and oven. I'm cursing myself for not stepping back and thinking before asking a question with blinkers on.

Don't be. You can ask anything on here.
You do need to recognise there is a correlation between the degree of daftness of a question and the amount of ribbing you may attract. That's all it is though a bit of banter.
If a question provokes thought within yourself and guides you to revise certain areas of knowledge, then it's never a daft one.
