I wonder if anyone can help? IM testing a school classroom and they have large sinks with RCd socket outlets above them. I'm sure this isn't right but can't find a reg. Number to prove my
 
You wont find a specific Reg No in BS7671, try looking at Building Regs, it suggests a distance > 300mm from edge of sink and drainer. What are you testing? are you doing a EICR?

No these circuits have been altered (they've had the socket outlets changed to rcd ones) so I'm doing an instal cert.
 
It's not ideal, obviously, but not against regs. As already said, building regs recommend at least 300mm away, but only a recommendation. Unlikely to be a safety issue as RCD protected, but should be a recommendation to be moved imo.
