Hi all

I am replacing a cooker isolator which is on a tiled wall. The isolator sits on quite deep due to the depth of the tiles.

Is there any spacers/washers I can between the box and isolator so it is flush with the tiles?

I have seen the box extensions you can get.

Thanks

Is the isolator falling into the hole, or is it that the screws are too short?
Could you use a different make of isolator that is slightly bigger?
Could grouting or filler be used to fill in the hole?

Spin one thing I have tried which is quite effective is timber fill for this because it sets absolutely solid within about 60 seconds it is white and gives you a really solid base to screw back to

The hole isn't too big, it's just the switch sits too far in as the box is sat really deep due to the tiles.

I was thinking about the extensions lugs as well so may use though. May be able to bulk the gap a bit with some solid filler.

Thanks all

try timber fill works really well as a solid filler

if the switch goes into the hole, then the hole is too big.
