Hi all

I just wondered how other peeps go about surveying a domestic property for solar pv?

Any tips or advice?

Does anyone use any specific type of software to help with shading and sun paths etc?

what sort of tiles are on the roof i.e if its slate the price goes up or if it has interlocking tiles.wether you need a roofer. how your going to route your cables where your siting your inverter and switch gear.
check the pitch of the roof and which way its facing, making sure there is no shading issues.

hope that helps

HI Thanks, some good ideas

how do you go about presenting your survey? Do you use a template/software or is it just a customized version

How do you deal with understanding where the sun path is in the winter when looking at a job in the summer?

How would you deal with partial shading?
