We're about to install a PV system for a customer with health problems. The existing supply meter and CU are located in the back corner of a corner cupboard in the kitchen, to read the supply meter it's neccessary to remove a chunk of cupboard contents and crawl around on the floor to read the supply meter - an unsuitable arrangement. Given the need to provide quartelry generation meter readings, I'd like to offer the customer the option of external installation of the generation meter (just the meter alone), so I'm looking for a small, utility key accessed, surface mount, IP65 box to suit. KMG offers a box with utillity key access but at 360mm x 252mm x 140mm it's a bit larger than I was hoping for. Can anyone suggest a source for something a little samller, ideally around 250mm high, 200mm wide and 100mm deep?

Details of the KMG box are here - http://www.meterboxesdirect.co.uk/u...t-weatherproof-electric-cabinet-360x252mm.pdf

just been on their site and they do one 270x270x140. anfd they're only down at biddle moor, so not far to collect.

Thanks, however one of the criterion is that the cabinet uses a standard utility key to open - don't want to have to deal with lost keys at some point in the future.

Hi worcester, an interesting idea, though probably at the more expensive end of the scale. In the end I went with the small box I first identified and it doesn't look too out of place.
