Hello im new here, trainee electrician
To the point...
power in the shed...

The closest supply to spur of is an external socket..i cannot run a new feed from the cu as the house floor is tiled.

My plan was to spur of the external socket using 2.5 armoured cable...take it to a 13a fused spur in the shed and another down rated 6a spur for the lighting?

Is this a good plan? Any alternative suggestions?

Hi Riko,
As a trainee, I assume you have access to an On Site Guide and a copy of BS7671. Rather than directly answer your question, I'm going to refer you to Appendix 15 of BS7671, which you can find on p505. Have a read through it, then come back and tell us if you think what you have proposed is correct or not, and why. Then we will do our best to guide you.
