Hi.

New to site. After abit of advice.

Adding a 13 amp fused switched spur to a ring in 2.5 mm t&e, only the current wiring is in 2.5mm with 2.5mm cpc. Protected by a C32 RCBO 30mA , only the CPC is going to be mixed 1.5 and 2.5.
Can’t fined anything in regs book about mixing cpc. Any advice would be great.

As long as the CPC satisfies the adiabatic for your addition then no problems.

Is the existing ring run using singles in conduit?

Thanks guys.

Yes thought about using singles. Not often I come across this situation. Didn’t want to spend on cable I’ll never really use to be honest. It’s only for a supply for a StairLift charger in a sheltered accommodation.

Normally only do Domestic. 2.5mm t&e all time.

Long time since I done any singles stuff; but wasn't just easier to order three drums of 2.5mm.
If you are concerned about changing the cpc size order 2.5 brown and blue and 1.5 0r 1mm depending on what size the cpc is in the twe
