I have Downlights and Fan to fit in a bathroom, the customer has one of the old Square D Qwikline CU's, where the MCB's clip into a kind of Live din rail, (like crabtree starbreaker CU)
I need a 6a RCBO Is there even one available..?

Any of you come across one?

I'll have to go in and ask, Ive spent a while looking online for one, I managed to find one website that does the correct type, but only go down to 10a, Not a 6a..

It has to be the QOE- model type.. i can find plenty of the other type Square D type rcbos

I had a look on the web and i'm sure square d and merlin gerin use similar breakers.
Merlin Gerin C60HC6R30

They are made by the same people "Schneider " I think so they would fit although it is against the law to fit

each others as they are tested differently at least thats what I have told by Senate staff .

Go down to your local Edmundson and if they hav'nt got any they will order some for you not a problem

Yes get a schneider one from most good wholesalers.

Not sure about a 6 tho, they might only do a 10.

Can't see why it's against the law, can anyone explain coz I've used tonnes of schneider RCBOs in Merlin boards.

I was told although they are made by same company they have different TESTS applied so if you put each

others mcbs in diiferent boards and you had a burnout for instance you would have no comeback

He quoted a case where a wholesaler knowingly sold Merlin gerin for Sq d board and was fined etc .

I personally wouldn't stress too much .Was just what I was told, May be an old wives tale

None of the links are to anywhere selling to correct type of RCBO, I can see me strugling to get one of these, I'll have to ask about in wholsalers, surely theres someone that can order me one in, from somewhere
