Hi, I removed a start capacitor (burnt out) from my newly acquired bandsaw and did not take a photo of where to replace wires. Apart from the earth there is on left a brown with opposite black/red, next terminal is blue and blue, next is a white with nothing opposite. This junction box is on the motor with the wires from switch coming in and then to motor as explained, any advice appreciated as to what terminals I use, thanks

I am moving this to the electrical forum as you may get more responses.
Can you put up some pics of the motor terminal box and its rating plate.

Agree, that looks wrong. There are two winding ends connected to line, therefore the capacitor seems to want to be from white to neutral.

No that is wrong. The red and black are the ends of the main and aux windings, blue and white the other ends. Connect the capacitor across blue and white.

So looking at picture the left terminals are white top, blue centre, and brown at bottom can you say exactly which terminals the capacitor brown and blue go to, thank you.
