Steel conduit

Is steel conduit used much nowadays? I have worked with it a lot in the distant past but looks like domestic is all plastic and trunking now.I would have thought its still the best option on farms and commercial and for extending existing installations which are in steel.

Most of what I do is in galv conduit.

i also still use it quite abit

Only ever use B/E or Galv in Industrial , ( too expensive ) and hardly ever spec'd

Its far more rewarding to work with, still use it quite a bit, would use it all the time if it weren't for the cost.

It will be used a lot more now with the regs regarding RCD's etc.
