Hi guys.

Have you seen this?

New Salamandre trunking from Legrand. Is time of the essence when you're on a job? Has anyone tried the new trunking? There is a roadshow going on at the moment where you can try out the new system. Fastest fitter wins a trip to the Grand Prix!

That video is rubbish!! you could have atlest made it look like he was actually going at normal pace, who starts off screws by hand these day you pop them on the end of the mag bit and screw them straight in not locate them all by hand first lol :D. I'm not going to come into branch to try my luck at the speed challenge before you ask and be proved wrong etc etc done properly you will be saving a handful of seconds. Cost wise how much more is it than a conventional system :D

I take it that the chap on the left in the video wasn't on price work then!!!

just put some up on a job and it looks crap. Joiners on the outside just doesn't look good

There's no need to punch the p-shape slots when you cut it, simply use the coupler as a jig and drill the fixing hole. I think the best part about this trunking is that the couplers and screws are fitted so you don't lose any !!.
Also, the edges of the body are folded over so that you don't catch the cables or your knuckles.

A punch would get you the right alignment and position every time, and be far simpler!
