Hi.
I've been asked to install a Dimplex qm150 storage heater for a customer. There is a suitable existing supply for the off peak element.
Someone has installed a switched fused spur to supply the boost functionality. This has been taken from a nearby socket circuit.
However the property has a three phase supply, and the off peak supply to the heater is on a different phase to the supply for the boost function. I have tried to contact Dimplex to ask the question if this is OK and to confirm that the two heater supplies within the storage heater are electrically separated, but the office is closed as its Saturday. I have no manufacturers instructions for the heater as it was previously installed in another room (where it was connected to two different phases) the customer has not got the original manual.

Just wondered if anyone out there has experience installing these heaters on dual supplies. I will call the manufacturer on Monday but it would be nice if anyone has the answer now. Saves me worrying about it over the weekend (because that's what I'm like!).

I have left it just on the off peak supply for the moment until I get confirmation.

Cheers
