Show us the back... it looks like some sort of key switch ...could be intruder alarm related nurse call or anything hard to tell where was it positioned ..any more info?

Safe disguised as an electrical accessory? they normally look like a twin socket with the keyhole being in one of the earth pin holes, but you never know!

Yes it had a striped earth wire screwed in on the left !Thanks for clearing that up.

Hi MDJ we already worked it out part of an alarm system..it was in an unusual place upstairs with no switch
