Hi All,
I currently still work on an IT Support Helpdesk as I haven't been able to make the move to this industry but also it's not exactly a great time.

I have been thinking about maybe trying to work for companies doing structured IT / Data cabling as a potential specialisation instead of just straight electrical.

Are there any qualifications I need or places to look that could assist me?

There is, but I think I'd rather pull on cables and do manual work. Sitting in an office all day trying to meet service level agreements and getting stressed about people being stupid with their computers etc is grating.

There's money in the industry but not in my area.

Always been more intelligent with my hands if you know what I mean.

Might be lots of work and maybe money too but I'll bet it's soul destroying

IT Helpdesk? Yes it is. Not always, but most of the time. Esp after 3 years! 4 years since I started the 2330 levels 2 and 3.

Done a bit of googling. I guess more is needed...

I think there exists, nevertheless I do believe I might rather draw in cords in addition to complete information work. Seated in an place of work all day seeking to meet program amount deals in addition to receiving harassed in relation to individuals becoming silly making use of their personal computers for example is grating.
